Ingredients/Components
- butter recipe cake mix - 1 pkg
- eggs - 4 item
- sour cream - 1 c
- oil - 1/3 c
- water - 1/4 c
- white sugar - 1/4 c
- powdered sugar with 2 Tbsp
- dry cake mix
- brown sugar - 2 Tbsp
- cinnamon - 2 tsp
- chopped pecans - 1 c
How to make sock-it-to-me cake:
Glaze: small amount of microwaved frosting or 1 c. powdered sugar with 2 Tbsp. milk Streusel Filling:2 Tbsp. dry cake mix2 Tbsp. brown sugar2 tsp. cinnamon1 c. chopped pecans Preheat oven to 375°. Grease and flour a 10-inch tube pan (or Bundt pan).Combine Streusel Filling: Cake mix, sugar and cinnamon. Mix well. Add pecans and stir. Set aside.
Combine ingredients for cake. Beat at medium speed with electric mixer for 2 minutes. Pour two-thirds of batter into pan. Sprinkle Streusel Filling. Spoon remaining batter evenly over filling. Bake at 375° for 45 to 55 minutes. Cool 25 minutes. Then invert on to serving plate. Cool completely. Top with glaze. Drizzle over cake.
