Ingredients/Components

  • flour - 1 2
  • stick margarine - 1/2 item
  • Worcestershire sauce - 1 2
  • chopped onion - 1 c
  • chopped celery - 1/2 c
  • seasoned salt - 1 item
  • chopped bell pepper - 1/2 item
  • raw rice, cooked - 1 c
  • cleaned shrimp - 1 1
  • to 5 bacon slices - 4 item

How to make shrimp pilaf:

Stir Worcestershire sauce, flour and shrimp together, coating shrimp well. Place in refrigerator until needed. Cook bacon. Saute vegetables in margarine and 2 to 3 tablespoons of bacon drippings. Cook until tender. Add shrimp and cook until they turn pink. Add cooked rice and seasoned salt to taste. Add crumbled bacon. Serve with a salad or slaw.
