Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- flour - 4 c
- baking soda - 1 Tbsp
- shortening - 1 c
- hot water - 2 c
- light brown sugar - 2 c
How to make shoo-fly cake:
Make crumbs of first 3 ingredients; reserve 1 cup of crumbs. Mix last 4 ingredients together, then add the crumbs. Mix together. Sprinkle the reserved cup of crumbs on top. Bake at 350° for 45 minutes in a 9 x 13-inch pan.Recipe categories: Desserts, Cakes, Low protein.
