Ingredients/Components

1/2 C flour - 4 item
2/3 C sugar - 1 item
eggs beaten well - 2 item
C shortening butter flavor crisco - 1 item
C sour cream - 1 item
tsp baking soda must be dissolved in 1 tsp of water - 1 item
tsp baking powder - 1 item
tsp vanilla - 1 item

How to make sour cream cookies:

Cream shortening and sugar, then add eggs, vanilla, then baking soda and baking powder, then sour cream alternately with flour.

Roll out to 1/4 inch thick, cut into desired shapes, bake at 350 degrees for 9-10 minutes, then check to see if done by lightly pressing on top of cookie, if it doesn't dent, then they are done.

NOTE: The dough works better if chilled overnight, and there is no need to grease cookie sheets.

Makes double batch 5 dozen.
