Seafood pasta sauce
Ingredients/Components
- cloves garlic, minced - 4 item
- dry white wine - 1 c
- oregano - 1 Tbsp
- pepper to taste - 1 item
- olive oil - 4 Tbsp
- chopped parsley - 4 tsp
- onions, minced - 2 item
- shrimp, peeled and deveined - 2 lb
- cans chopped clams - 4 item
- cans peeled tomatoes - 4 oz
- fresh basil or 1 1/4 tsp - 4 tsp
- scallops, quartered if large - 2 lb
How to make seafood pasta sauce:
Saute onion and garlic in olive oil. Pour in wine and cook 2 minutes. Chop tomatoes. Add tomatoes and their juices, basil, oregano and parsley. Cook on medium-high heat for 5 minutes, then reduce to a simmer. Cook 30 to 40 minutes or until slightly thickened. Add seafoods. Cover and cook until seafood is just firm, about 3 minutes.
