Ingredients/Components

  • sugar - 3 Tbsp
  • cloves garlic, minced - 2 item
  • chicken broth - 6 c
  • oregano - 1/2 tsp
  • onion, chopped - 1 item
  • olive oil - 1 tsp
  • chopped parsley - 1 c
  • green pepper, chopped - 1/2 item
  • red wine - 1/2 c
  • noodles - 1/2 c
  • stalks celery, sliced - 3 item
  • tomato puree - 1 c
  • bay leaves - 3 item
  • thyme - 1/8 tsp
  • cans stewed tomatoes - 2 item
  • chopped Italian sausage - 1 c

How to make portuguese sausage soup:

Saute onion, celery and garlic in oil until transparent. Add tomatoes, tomato puree and sausage (chunks). Simmer for 20 minutes. Remove bay leaves and serve.
