Ingredients/Components
- Jeremiah 6:20 sugar - 2 c
- Judges 4:19 milk - 1/2 c
- Judges 5:25 butter - 1 c
- Nahum 3:12 figs - 2 c
- Isaiah 10:14 eggs - 6 item
- Kings 4:22 flour
- Amos 4:25 baking powder - 2 tsp
- 1 Samuel 14:25 honey - 2 Tbsp
- Numbers 17:8 almonds - 2 c
- 1 Samuel 20:12 raisins - 2 c
- Chronicles 9:9 spices to taste
- pinch of Leviticus 17:8 salt
How to make scripture cake:
Cream the butter with sugar. Chop figs and add to mixture. Beat eggs until frothy and add milk. Sift part of the flour with baking powder; add remaining flour. Add alternately to creamed mixture with milk. Stir to combine. Add honey. Chop raisins and almonds and add to mixture with remaining ingredients. Mix well. Pour into baking pan (or pans) and bake at 375° for 30 minutes.Recipe categories: Desserts, Cakes, Weeknight.
