Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 Tbsp
- flour - 2 Tbsp
- margarine - 2 Tbsp
- finely chopped onions - 1/2 c
- celery, chopped - 1 c
- 2 1/2 can tomatoes
- prepared mustard optional - 2 tsp
- slices day old bread, toasted - 3 item
How to make scalloped tomatoes:
Cook the celery and onions in butter. Blend in flour. Butter toast and cut into 1/2-inch squares. Mix all ingredients and pour into a greased 1 1/2 quart casserole dish. Bake for 30 minutes and top with buttered bread. Bake 20 minutes longer.Recipe categories: Side dish, Vegetables, Kosher.
