Ingredients/Components
- milk
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour - 3 Tbsp
- butter - 3 Tbsp
- dash of pepper - 1 item
- grated cheese - 1/3 c
- bread crumbs - 1/2 c
- finely chopped onion - 1 Tbsp
- slices bacon - 3 item
- cooked carrots - 4 c
How to make scalloped carrots:
Make a white sauce of butter, flour and milk; add salt, pepper, grated cheese and onion. In a casserole place a layer of carrots alternately with white sauce until dish is full. Cover with bread crumbs. Bake until bacon is crisp.Recipe categories: Side dish, Vegetables, Carrots.
