  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • flour - 3 Tbsp
  • butter - 3 Tbsp
  • dash of pepper - 1 item
  • grated cheese - 1/3 c
  • bread crumbs - 1/2 c
  • finely chopped onion - 1 Tbsp
  • slices bacon - 3 item
  • cooked carrots - 4 c

How to make scalloped carrots:

Make a white sauce of butter, flour and milk; add salt, pepper, grated cheese and onion. In a casserole place a layer of carrots alternately with white sauce until dish is full. Cover with bread crumbs. Bake until bacon is crisp.
