Ingredients/Components
- salt and pepper to taste - 1 item
- oregano
- parsley - 1 tsp
- stalks celery, chopped - 2 item
- medium onions, chopped - 2 item
- cans stewed tomatoes
- cans kidney beans
- cups water - 3 item
- medium potatoes, peeled and chopped - 3 item
- medium carrots, peeled and chopped - 4 item
- smoked link sausage, diced - 1 lb
- garlic powder or chopped garlic to taste - 1 item
How to make sausage soup:
In a large, covered soup pot, combine all ingredients and simmer for 2 hours. You can add other kinds of beans, such as pinto, navy, Great Northern or butter beans.Recipe categories: Soups & stews, Meat, Pork.
