Sausage rice
Ingredients/Components
- garlic powder - 1/2 tsp
- Worcestershire sauce - 1 Tbsp
- slivered almonds, toasted - 1/2 c
- long grain rice - 1 c
- onion, chopped - 1 c
- celery, chopped - 1 c
- carrots, sliced - 1 c
- fennel seed - 1 tsp
- bulk hot sausage - 1 lb
- can chicken bouillon undiluted - 1 oz
How to make sausage rice:
Break up sausage; brown and drain well. Mix with next 8 ingredients; place in casserole. (At this point, it may be refrigerated for a day.) When ready to bake, add bouillon. Bake, covered, for 1 1/4 hours at 350°. Serves 6 to 8 as side dish.Recipe categories: Main dish, One Dish meal, Pork sausage.
