Ingredients/Components

  • garlic powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Worcestershire sauce - 1 Tbsp
  • slivered almonds, toasted - 1/2 c
  • long grain rice - 1 c
  • onion, chopped - 1 c
  • celery, chopped - 1 c
  • carrots, sliced - 1 c
  • fennel seed - 1 tsp
  • bulk hot sausage - 1 lb
  • can chicken bouillon undiluted - 1 oz

How to make sausage rice:

Break up sausage; brown and drain well. Mix with next 8 ingredients; place in casserole. (At this point, it may be refrigerated for a day.) When ready to bake, add bouillon. Bake, covered, for 1 1/4 hours at 350°. Serves 6 to 8 as side dish.
