Ingredients/Components
- milk - 2 c
- salt and pepper to taste - 1 item
- grated sharp cheese
- to 8 eggs - 6 item
- hot sausage hot - 1 lb
- slices bread or cooked grits - 6 item
How to make sausage, egg and cheese casserole:
Grease a 9 x 13-inch baking dish. Place bread or grits in bottom of dish. Sprinkle cooked sausage over bread. Sprinkle cheese over sausage. Beat eggs, milk, salt and pepper together; pour over the casserole. May cover and sit overnight in the refrigerator. Bake, uncovered, at 350° for 30 to 45 minutes.Hint: Perfect for breakfast when company comes.
