sugar - 1 c
vanilla - 1 tsp
chopped pecans - 1/2 c
milk - 2 Tbsp
flour
butter - 1 c
coconut flakes - 1 c
chopped cherries, drained - 1 c

How to make santa's whiskers:

Melt butter. Add sugar until fluffy. Add milk and vanilla. Stir in flour slowly, then add cherries and nuts. Shape into 3 (7-inch) rolls and roll in coconut flakes. Wrap in waxed paper and chill thoroughly. Cut into 1/4-inch slices. Bake in 375° oven on ungreased cookie sheet approximately 12 minutes or until edges are golden brown.
