Grandma's bread pudding
Ingredients/Components
- milk - 2 c
- butter or margarine - 1/4 c
- soft bread crumbs - 3 c
- sugar - 1/2 c
- eggs, beaten - 2 item
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- cinnamon or nutmeg - 1 tsp
- raisins if desired - 1/2 c
How to make grandma's bread pudding:
Heat milk and butter until scalded. Grease a 1 1/2-quart casserole. Add remaining ingredients to scalded milk and butter and pour into greased casserole dish. Place casserole in pan of very HOT water and bake at 350° for 40 to 50 minutes or until a knife inserted 1-inch from edge comes out clean.Recipe categories: Desserts, Puddings and mousses, Egg.
