  • milk - 2 c
  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • flour - 3 Tbsp
  • nutmeg - 1/2 tsp
  • margarine
  • hard-boiled eggs - 3 item
  • large onion - 1 item
  • large can salmon - 1 item
  • boiled rice - 3 c

How to make salmon casserole:

White Sauce:4 Tbsp. margarine3 Tbsp. flour2 c. milk1/2 tsp. nutmeg1/2 tsp. salt Cook rice (to make 3 cups boiled rice use 1 cup dry rice). Boil the eggs. Cook the onion in margarine, then arrange the 4 ingredients in layers as many as you like. Make a white sauce by placing the margarine in a pan, then add the flour and stir over heat until mixed. Add milk and seasonings. Cook until thickened. Make holes in your casserole with a knife handle. Pour sauce over all. Top with bread crumbs and margarine. Bake in 350° oven for 30 minutes or until browned.
