Ingredients/Components

  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • egg, slightly beaten - 1 item
  • water - 1/2 c
  • fine dry bread crumbs - 1/4 c
  • prepared mustard - 1 Tbsp
  • dash of pepper - 1 item
  • ground beef
  • chopped parsley - 1 Tbsp
  • finely chopped onions - 1/2 c
  • horseradish - 1 tsp
  • mashed potatoes - 1 item
  • can condensed golden mushroom soup - 1 1/2

How to make salisbury steak:

Blend soup, mustard, Worcestershire sauce and horseradish. Combine beef, 1/4 cup soup mixture, egg, bread crumbs, onion and seasonings. Shape into patties. Brown patties in skillet and pour off fat. Stir in remaining soup mixture, water and parsley. Cover and cook over low heat for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally. Serve with potatoes.
