Ingredients/Components
- sugar
- cinnamon - 1 tsp
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour
- brown sugar - 1/2 c
- butter - 1/2 c
- buttermilk - 1 c
- baking soda - 1 tsp
- egg - 1 item
- nuts - 1/2 1
- finely chopped rhubarb - 2 c
How to make rhubarb cake:
Topping:1/4 c. butter1/2 c. brown sugar1 tsp. cinnamon1/2 to 1 c. nuts1/4 c. flour Cream together sugar, butter, egg and vanilla. Add flour, baking soda and salt. Then add buttermilk. Combine 1/2 cup flour and rhubarb. Then add to the batter.Combine Topping ingredients. Sprinkle topping over batter and bake at 350° for 35 to 45 minutes. Serve plain or with whipped cream.
