Rhubarb cake
Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour - 2 C
- egg - 1 item
- shortening - 1/2 C
- brown sugar, packed - 1 C
- white sugar - 1 C
- baking soda in 1 C - 1 tsp
- rhubarb, cut very fine - 2 C
How to make rhubarb cake:
Cream sugars and shortening; add egg and beat. Mix dry ingredients together and add alternately with sour milk. Add rhubarb.Place in a 9 x 13-inch pan and top with: 1/2 C. brown sugar, 1/2 C. nuts and 1 tsp. cinnamon; mix well and sprinkle on top of cake. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes.
