Orange sorbet
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 Tbsp
- grated orange peel - 1/2 tsp
- egg white - 1 item
- orange juice - 2 c
- fresh lemon juice - 2 Tbsp
How to make orange sorbet:
In small saucepan, over low heat, combine orange juice, lemon juice, sugar and orange peel. Cook until sugar dissolves. Pour into large bowl. Cool to room temperature. In medium bowl, with mixer at high speed, beat egg white until stiff peaks form. Gently fold into orange juice. Pour mixture into a shallow, metal pan. Freeze 2 hours or until partially frozen.Spoon mixture into bowl. With mixer, beat until smooth. Freeze 3 hours or until set. Let stand at room temperature about 10 minutes prior to serving. Makes 4 servings.
