Ingredients/Components
- sugar
- eggs - 2 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- milk
- salt - 1 tsp
- flour
- butter - 1/2 c
- cocoa - 2 Tbsp
- buttermilk - 1 c
- baking soda - 1 tsp
- vinegar - 1 Tbsp
- stick butter - 1 item
- small bottle red food coloring - 1 item
How to make red velvet cake:
Icing:1 c. milk6 Tbsp. flour1 c. sugar1 stick butter Cream butter and eggs together. Mix flour, cocoa, sugar and salt together and add to butter and egg mixture. Add vanilla, vinegar, buttermilk and baking soda and mix well. Spoon into cake pan or pans and bake at 350° until done.To make frosting, boil until thick milk and flour. Add sugar and butter. Bring mixture to a boil. Poke holes into cake and pour on the frosting.
