- sugar
- eggs - 2 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- flour
- butter - 1 c
- cocoa - 2 tsp
- baking powder - 1 tsp
- baking soda - 1 tsp
- vinegar - 1 tsp
- shortening - 1/2 c
- red cake coloring - 2 oz
- Beat together butter and sugar for 5 minutes
How to make red cake:
Mix together vinegar and soda; set aside. Beat together butter and sugar for 5 minutes. Add eggs one at a time. Add the remaining ingredients. Grease and flour 3 round cake pans. Bake at 350° for about 20 to 25 minutes.Frosting:1 c. milk3 Tbsp. flour1/2 c. butter1/2 c. shortening1 c. sugar vanilla Cook milk with flour. Set aside to cool. Stir once while cooling.
