Quick sausage supper
Ingredients/Components
- flour - 2 Tbsp
- garlic powder - 1/4 tsp
- pepper - 1/8 tsp
- chopped onion - 1/2 c
- shredded Mozzarella cheese - 1 c
- basil leaves - 1/2 tsp
- pork sausage - 3/4 1
- oregano leaves - 1 tsp
- can 10 biscuits - 1 item
- can undrained tomatoes - 1 oz
- can pork and beans optional - 1 oz
- can drained mushroom pieces and stems optional - 1 oz
How to make quick sausage supper:
Preheat oven to 400°. In a 10-inch ovenproof skillet, brown sausage and onion. Drain. Sprinkle with flour. Add tomatoes, mushrooms, oregano, basil, garlic powder and pepper; mix well. (Also pork and beans, if so desired). Heat until hot and bubbly, stirring until slightly thickened.Separate 1 can biscuits; cut each into 4 pieces. Arrange biscuit pieces over hot meat mixture; sprinkle with cheese. Bake 12 to 16 minutes, until golden brown. Yield: 5 or 6 servings.
