Ingredients/Components
- pkg - 1 oz
- bean sprouts - 2 c
- shredded cheese - 8 oz
- can condensed cream of mushroom soup - 1 3/4
- sliced water chestnuts - 3/4 c
- can French fried onion rings - 1 oz
- c mushrooms - 1 item
How to make vegetable casserole:
Preheat oven to 350°. Combine cooked peas (drained), bean sprouts (drained), mushrooms (drained) and water chestnuts in a 9-inch casserole dish. Add a few tablespoons mushroom liquid or milk to soup; heat. Add to vegetables and gently toss. Sprinkle cheese over top. Bake, covered, for 30 minutes. Remove from oven. Place onion rings over top. Continue baking, uncovered, for 15 minutes longer. Serves 4 to 6.Recipe categories: Side dish, Main dish, Casseroles.
