- 9-inch pastry crust
- bacon, cooked crisp - 1/2 lb
- Swiss cheese, shredded - 1 c
- minced onion - 1/4 c
- eggs - 4 item
- cream - 2 c
- salt - 3/4 tsp
- sugar - 1/4 tsp
- cayenne - 1/8 tsp
How to make quiche lorraine:
Heat oven to 425°. Crumble bacon in pie crust along with cheese and onion. Beat eggs with remaining ingredients. Pour into pie crust. Bake 15 minutes at 450°. Reduce heat to 300° and bake 30 minutes or until knife inserted 1 inch from edge comes out clean. Let stand 10 minutes before cutting.Recipe categories: Breakfast, Main dish, Savory pies.
