  • 9-inch pastry crust
  • bacon, cooked crisp - 1/2 lb
  • Swiss cheese, shredded - 1 c
  • minced onion - 1/4 c
  • eggs - 4 item
  • cream - 2 c
  • salt - 3/4 tsp
  • sugar - 1/4 tsp
  • cayenne - 1/8 tsp

How to make quiche lorraine:

Heat oven to 425°. Crumble bacon in pie crust along with cheese and onion. Beat eggs with remaining ingredients. Pour into pie crust. Bake 15 minutes at 450°. Reduce heat to 300° and bake 30 minutes or until knife inserted 1 inch from edge comes out clean. Let stand 10 minutes before cutting.
