Ingredients/Components
- half and half - 1/2 pt
- eggs, beaten - 3 item
- dry mustard - 1/3 tsp
- salt and pepper to taste - 1 item
- minced onion - 1/2 c
- heavy whipping cream - 1/2 pt
- dash of nutmeg - 1 item
- grated Swiss cheese - 1/2 c
- crisp cooked bacon - 1/2 c
- Pet-Ritz pie shells - 1 item
How to make quiche:
Prebake pie shells until very lightly brown. Crumble cooked bacon in bottom of pie; layer cheese over bacon. Beat eggs, spices, cream, half and half and onion with mixer 2 to 3 minutes. Pour over bacon and cheese. Bake at 350° for 30 to 40 minutes. Check closely during last 10 minutes. Done when inserted knife comes out clean. Do not overcook.
