Ingredients/Components
- sugar
- eggs - 3 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- flour - 2 c
- oil - 1 c
- soda - 1/2 tsp
- buttermilk - 1/2 c
- pecans - 1 c
- white Karo syrup - 1 tsp
- stick oleo - 1 item
- cooked prunes - 1 c
- each: cinnamon, allspice, nutmeg, soda and vanilla - 1 tsp
How to make prune cake:
Buttermilk Glaze:1 c. sugar1/2 c. buttermilk1 stick oleo1/2 tsp. soda1 tsp. white Karo syrup1 tsp. vanilla Buttermilk Glaze: Bring to boil first 5 ingredients; cook 5 minutes. Add vanilla.Beat sugar, oil and eggs. Add flour, soda and spices. Beat until smooth. Cut prunes into small pieces. Add pecans. Mix well. Pour into Pam sprayed 9 x 13-inch pan. Bake at 350° until tests done. While hot, punch holes with fork. Pour hot Buttermilk Glaze over cake.
