Pretzel jello
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 3 Tbsp
- pkg - 8 oz
- boiling water - 2 c
- melted butter or margarine - 3/4 c
- carton Cool Whip - 1 oz
- crushed not too finely pretzels - 2 c
- fresh strawberries can use two 10 oz - 1 qt
How to make pretzel jello:
Preheat oven to 400°. Mix pretzels, 3 tablespoons sugar and margarine. Pat into a 13 x 9-inch pan. Bake 7 to 8 minutes until toasty. Set aside to cool.Beat the cream cheese, sugar and Cool Whip together. Spread over cooled crust.
Combine strawberries, jello and boiling water, stirring until jello is dissolved. Let stand in refrigerator until partially jelled. Pour over cream cheese mixture and refrigerate until set.
I have used all lite or sugar-free products and it turned out fine.
