Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 3 c
- cream cheese - 8 oz
- vanilla - 1 Tbsp
- pinch of salt - 1 item
- large eggs - 6 item
- sticks butter - 3 item
- cake flour - 3 c
How to make pound cake:
Heat oven to 325°. Cream butter, sugar and cream cheese. Add eggs, one at a time and continue beating while adding salt and vanilla. Slowly mix in the flour. Mix very well and pour into greased tube cake pan. (Note: Grease bottom of pan and cut waxed paper to fit bottom. Helps get the cake out without breaking edges.) Bake for 1 1/2 hours at 325° or until tester comes out clean. Cool before removing from the pan.Recipe categories: Desserts, Cakes, Lunch/snacks.
