Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 3 c
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- vanilla flavoring - 1 tsp
- soda - 1/4 tsp
- large eggs - 6 item
- plain flour - 3 c
- Crisco - 1 c
- 8 oz - 1/2 pt
- sticks butter - 2 item
- coconut flavoring - 1 tsp
How to make sour cream pound cake:
Sift and measure flour. Sift again with soda and salt. Cream shortening and sugar well. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Add flavorings. Add dry ingredients alternately with sour cream. Bake in a greased and floured 10-inch tube pan at 325° for approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes (time will vary with individual ovens).Recipe categories: Desserts, Eggs/dairy, Cakes.
