Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 3 c
- eggs - 5 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- milk - 1 c
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour - 3 c
- nutmeg - 1/4 tsp
- baking powder - 1/2 tsp
- Crisco - 1/2 c
- lemon - 1 tsp
- stick oleo - 1 item
How to make pound cake:
Cream the oleo and Crisco; add sugar and cream well. Add 1 egg at a time, beating after each one. Add flour, salt and nutmeg mixture, alternating with milk. Add flavoring. Sprinkle baking powder over batter. Fold in. Pour cake in a well-floured and greased tube pan. Put in cold oven at 325° for 1 hour and 15 minutes.
