Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 3 c
- eggs - 5 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- flour - 3 c
- baking powder - 1/2 tsp
- sticks butter - 2 item
- Crisco shortening - 1/2 c
- sweet milk - 1 c
How to make pound cake:
Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs, 1 at a time. Add dry ingredients and milk, beginning and ending with flour and vanilla. Pour into greased tube pan. Bake in cold oven to start and place foil over pan for 1/2 hour, then remove foil and bake the other 30 minutes. Bake at 325°.
