Ingredients/Components

  • sugar - 3 c
  • eggs - 5 item
  • milk - 1 c
  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • baking powder - 1 tsp
  • plain flour - 3 c
  • Crisco - 1/2 c
  • margarine - 1 c
  • vanilla flavoring or vanilla butter and nut flavoring - 1 Tbsp

How to make pound cake:

Cream together margarine and Crisco. Add sugar and beat until fluffy. Add eggs one at a time. Sift flour, salt and baking powder together and add to mixture alternately with milk. Add flavoring. Bake in a Bundt pan at 300° for 1 hour.
