Ingredients/Components

  • butter - 1/2 c
  • flour - 1 c
  • sifted confectioners sugar - 1/4 c
  • eggs - 2 item
  • sugar - 1 c
  • salt - 1/4 tsp
  • lemon juice - 3 Tbsp
  • baking powder - 1/2 tsp

How to make lemon bars:

Cream butter; add flour and sugar (confectioners) and mix. Press mixture on bottom of greased 8-inch square pan. Bake in 350° oven about 20 minutes.

Combine next 6 ingredients and mix well. Spread on hot baked layer. Bake in a 350° oven for about 39 minutes. Cool; cut into bars. Sprinkle with additional confectioners sugar. Store in airtight container. Makes 24 bars.
