  • pkg - 1 oz
  • sour cream
  • butter, melted - 6 Tbsp
  • poppy seed - 2 tsp
  • can sliced water chestnuts - 1 oz
  • olive oil - 2 Tbsp
  • cans cream of chicken soup - 2 3/4
  • cooking sherry - 1/2 c
  • dried tarragon leaves - 1 tsp
  • chicken breasts deli - 2 lb
  • each: white and red pepper - 1/2 tsp
  • butter-flavored crackers - 1 c

How to make poppy seed chicken:

In a large saucepan, cook noodles. Drain cooked noodles and toss with olive oil. Place noodles in two 7 x 11-inch greased glass baking dishes, spreading noodles up sides of dishes.

In a medium bowl, combine chicken, soup, sour cream, water chestnuts, sherry, tarragon and peppers (white and red). Pour soup mixture over noodles.

Sprinkle cracker crumbs and poppy seed over soup mixture. Pour melted butter over crackers. Cover and store in refrigerator. Bake, uncovered, in a preheated 325° oven for 55 to 60 minutes or until heated through.
