Plum pudding
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 c
- cinnamon - 1 tsp
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- flour
- butter - 2 Tbsp
- nutmeg - 1 tsp
- soda - 1 tsp
- boiling water - 1 c
- dash of salt - 1 item
- raisins - 1 c
- lard - 1/4 c
- currants - 1 c
- Mix raisins, currants and lard with 1 cup boiling water; add your spices, and sugar
How to make plum pudding:
Cook raisins and currants until soft and drain. Mix raisins, currants and lard with 1 cup boiling water; add your spices, and sugar. Dissolve soda in a little hot water. Add flour. Place in greased steamer and steam 3 hours. Serve with Vanilla Sauce.Vanilla Sauce:2 c. boiling water1 c. sugar3 tbsp. flour dash of salt2 Tbsp. butter1 tsp. vanilla Mix flour, sugar and salt in a little cold water.
