Ingredients/Components
- cinnamon - 1 tsp
- eggs - 5 item
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour - 2 c
- brown sugar - 1 c
- nutmeg - 1 tsp
- soda - 2 tsp
- pecans - 1/2 lb
- cloves - 1/2 tsp
- allspice - 1 tsp
- almonds - 1/2 lb
- grated bread crumbs - 4 c
- sweet milk - 1 c
- mixed fruit - 1/2 lb
- cut dates - 1 lb
- raisins dark and light - 1 lb
- beef suet, ground - 1/2 lb
- citron, sliced thin - 1/4 lb
How to make plum pudding:
Beat eggs light. Add sugar, flour, soda, spices, milk, bread crumbs and suet. Flour fruit mix. Add to batter. Bake in a steam pan for 3 hours with room to rise at 300°. Decorate with blanched almonds and glazed fruit. Serve with sugar saturated in lemon extract and lighted. Top with whipped cream.Recipe categories: Desserts, Puddings and mousses, < 15 mins.
