Ingredients/Components
- butter, softened - 3 Tbsp
- sugar - 2 c
- cinnamon - 2 tsp
- eggs - 2 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- nutmeg - 1/4 tsp
- baking soda - 1 tsp
- pinch of salt - 1 item
- vegetable oil - 1/2 c
- all-purpose flour - 2 c
- powdered sugar
- chopped walnuts - 1 c
- cream cheese, softened - 3 oz
- peeled, diced apples - 4 c
How to make apple cake:
Cream Cheese Icing:1/2 tsp. vanilla pinch of salt3 oz. cream cheese, softened3 Tbsp. butter, softened1 1/2 c. powdered sugar Beat eggs. Add sugar, oil and vanilla. Sift together flour, salt, soda, nutmeg and cinnamon. Add to first mixture. Stir in apples and walnuts. Bake in greased square pan or tube pan at 350° for about 15 minutes. Frost in pan or turn out and frost if made in tube pan.Cream Cheese Icing: Mix all ingredients together until creamy.
