Ingredients/Components
- egg - 1 item
- salt and pepper to taste - 1 item
- rice - 1 c
- can tomatoes - 1 or
- medium head cabbage - 1 item
- hamburger and ground pork, mixed - 1 1
- bag or 1 can sauerkraut - 1 item
How to make pigs in a blanket:
Mix hamburger, pork, seasonings, egg and rice together. Shape mixture into medium size balls. Peel cabbage into leaves. Hold the leaves under hot water to make them pliable. Wrap leaves around the hamburger balls. Place on bottom of large pot. Pour tomatoes and sauerkraut over these. Add more cabbage, if desired. Add enough water to fill pot.
