Pickled shrimp
Ingredients/Components
- salt
- boiling water - 2 qt
- salad oil
- celery salt
- white vinegar
- sliced onions - 1 c
- whole mixed pickling spice - 1/4 c
- chopped celery leaves - 1/2 c
- frozen, raw, peeled, cleaned shrimp
How to make pickled shrimp:
Thaw shrimp. Rinse with cold water. Place in boiling water and simmer about 10 minutes. Drain and arrange onions and shrimp in alternate layers. Simmer for 3 minutes. Add rest of ingredients. Cover and chill about 6 hours, stirring occasionally. Drain and serve on green salad.Recipe categories: Appetizers, Shellfish, Shrimp.
