  • sugar - 5 c
  • vanilla - 2 tsp
  • salt - 1/4 tsp
  • chopped nuts - 2 c
  • water - 1 c
  • large egg whites - 2 item
  • bottle light corn syrup - 1 item

How to make perfect divinity:

Combine sugar, syrup, water and salt; stir until sugar dissolves. Heat to boiling; cover and boil for 2 minutes. Uncover; cook to soft ball stage or 238°. Beat egg whites until stiff but not dry. Slowly pour syrup over egg whites, beating constantly, using electric mixer.
