Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 c
- cinnamon - 1 tsp
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- baking soda - 1 tsp
- egg - 1 item
- shortening - 3/4 c
- molasses - 1/4 c
- ginger - 1 Tbsp
- flour, sifted - 2 c
How to make gingersnaps:
Mix and sift first 5 ingredients. Cream shortening and sugar. Beat in egg and molasses. Add flour mixture. Form teaspoons of dough into small balls and roll in sugar. Place on ungreased cookie sheet.
