Peanut butter crunchies
Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- flour
- brown sugar - 1/2 c
- butter - 1/2 c
- soda - 3/4 tsp
- baking powder - 1/2 tsp
- peanut butter - 1/2 c
- egg, well beaten - 1 item
- white granulated sugar - 1/2 c
How to make peanut butter crunchies:
Cream butter and peanut butter together. Add sugar gradually. Cream thoroughly. Add well beaten egg to creamed mixture. Sift flour once before measuring. Sift flour, soda, baking powder and salt together; add to creamed mixture. Chill dough well, then form into balls the size of a walnut. Place balls on lightly greased baking sheet. Flatten with fork dipped in flour, making crisscross pattern. Bake 10 to 12 minutes in moderate oven. Yields 4 dozen cookies.Recipe categories: Desserts, Drop cookies, Cookie and brownie.
