Ingredients/Components

  • salt - 2 Tbsp
  • flour - 2 c
  • water - 1/2 gal
  • chopped onion - 1 c
  • black pepper - 2 Tbsp
  • beef stew meat - 3 lb
  • La Choy soy sauce - 1/2 c
  • green peppers, cleaned and chopped medium - 4 item

How to make peppered steak:

Rinse beef and with the flour, flour the beef thoroughly. Place in a roast pan and cover with the 1/2 gallon of water. Add the chopped onion, salt and pepper. In a preheated oven cook for 2 hours at 325° or until the meat is tender. Add the soy sauce and the green peppers; cook another 15 to 20 minutes. This recipe makes its own gravy. Serve over rice or white mashed potatoes. Serves 6 to 9 people.
