Pepper relish
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 4 c
- salt - 5 Tbsp
- vinegar - 4 c
- carrots - 1 pt
- celery seed - 2 Tbsp
- onion - 1 pt
- cabbage - 1 qt
- green pepper - 1 qt
- red pepper - 1 qt
- mustard seed - 4 Tbsp
- hot peppers cayenne, chopped - 3 item
How to make pepper relish:
All measurements are after being chopped. Sprinkle salt over chopped vegetables. Let stand about 30 minutes. Drain well. Add vinegar, sugar, mustard seed and celery seed. Cook until thick. Put in jars and seal.Recipe categories: Sauces, Salsas, Jams and preserves.
