  • eggs - 3 item
  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • salt - 1/4 tsp
  • evaporated milk - 1/2 c
  • white syrup - 1/2 c
  • pecans - 1 c
  • unbaked pastry shell 9-inch - 1 item
  • brown or white sugar - 1 c
  • corn meal optional - 1 Tbsp

How to make pecan pie:

Beat evaporated milk, sugar and eggs well. Blend in salt, vanilla, corn meal and sugar. Stir in pecans; pour into pie shell. Bake in 375° oven for 10 minutes. Lower temperature to 350° and continue baking until knife inserted near the center comes out clean, about 35 minutes.
