Ingredients/Components
- sugar
- seedless raisins - 2 lb
- lemon - 1 item
- vinegar white - 1 c
- ripe pears - 7 lb
- cloves, cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice and ginger - 1 Tbsp
How to make pear mincemeat:
Cut and quarter pears. Cut lemon into quarters, removing seeds. Put fruits through food chopper. Combine remaining ingredients in a large kettle. Add fruit mixture. Bring to a boil over medium heat. Simmer 40 minutes and pack at once in hot jars. Seal. Process in boiling water bath 25 minutes. Makes 9 pints.Recipe categories: Desserts, Pies and tarts, Condiments, etc..
