Ingredients/Components

  • sugar - 3 c
  • butter - 1/4 lb
  • water - 1 c
  • pinch of salt - 1 item
  • white Karo syrup - 1 c
  • peanuts
  • drops red food coloring - 6 item

How to make peanut patties:

Mix first 3 ingredients. Bring to a boil. Add 3 1/4 cups peanuts and food coloring. Cook to a hard boil stage over medium heat. Remove from heat. Add butter and salt. Beat until thick. Drop by teaspoon onto wax paper lined cookie sheet. Cool. Store in airtight container.
