Ingredients/Components

  • sugar
  • salt - 1/8 tsp
  • butter - 2 Tbsp
  • water - 1/2 c
  • raw peanuts
  • white corn syrup - 1/2 c
  • drops red food coloring - 3 item

How to make peanut patties:

Combine sugar, water and syrup. Bring to a boil over medium heat. Add peanuts, food coloring and cook until hard-ball stage or 250° on candy thermometer. Remove from heat; add butter and salt. Beat until mixture begins to sugar and thickens. Turn out onto greased cookie sheet. Either slice into squares or break into pieces while still warm.
