Peanut brittle
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 c
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- butter - 1 Tbsp
- water - 1 c
- soda - 1 Tbsp
- light corn syrup - 1 c
- raw peanuts - 2 c
How to make peanut brittle:
Combine sugar, syrup and water in a heavy pan; cook slowly. Stir until sugar dissolves. Cook to 235°. Stir in peanuts and salt. Cook to 300°, stirring constantly. Remove from heat. Add butter and soda. Stir. Pour onto well-greased platters. Shake to spread mixture. Cool and break.Recipe categories: Desserts, Fruit, Candy.
