Peanut brittle
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 c
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- water - 1 c
- baking soda - 1/2 1
- white syrup - 1 c
- raw Spanish peanuts - 2 c
How to make peanut brittle:
Mix together sugar, syrup and water. Cook at 230°. Add peanuts. Cook at 290°. Add baking soda and salt. Mix until it starts to foam. Pour out on a lightly oiled cookie sheet. Loosen as it cools and stretch it. Turn it over.Recipe categories: Desserts, Fruit, Candy.
